Acoustic Spot Communication Using Two Speakers

We have developed an acoustic communication method that enables spot communication (directional communication) using only a single pair of stereo speakers. This is achieved by transmitting a communication signal and an interference signal from each of the two speakers. Because the interference signal uses a carrier of the same frequency as the communication signal, using orthogonal carriers makes it possible to perform simultaneous directional communication in multiple directions and to generate square spots.
